When I have a client call for a healing session for foot pain the first thing I do is get a pain level. I ask how much it hurts from 1-10, 10 being the highest pain level. I ask if it hurts standing/walking/sitting and if any specific areas are tender. After we get the initial pain level I then send energy into the area of pain. This is all done over the phone or by Skype since healing energy can be sent remotely (my specialty). After about ten minutes of sending energy I ask the client how does it feel now? If another session is needed we schedule one.
When using the scrub, which should be done three times a week in the morning and before you go to sleep, fill enough water in a basin to cover your feet, add 1 cup of apple-cider vinegar, and soak your feet for 10 to 15 minutes. The vinegar helps to soften hard skin. After the soak, use firm pressure to massage the Callus Smoother Scrub into your feet. Do this for approximately 2 to 3 minutes on each foot, but you can use the scrub for as long as you want. Then rinse your feet with warm water and rub them dry with a coarse towel.
Sort your kitchen out too so you don’t have to reach for things as well. Standing on tip toe is not going to happen for a few weeks! If necessary get yourself a pole or grabber of some description to reach up to windows if you need to open or close them. I guess this bit depends on how much help you will have during your recuperation period. I have been very lucky and have had my mother staying with me and giving me 24/7 support, but I know in many cases this level of support isn’t possible.
Green Tea – Green tea’s health benefits include high levels of antioxidants which destroy the free radicals that can cause DNA damage, cancer, blood clots and atherosclerosis. The types of cancer prevented include stomach cancer, esophageal cancer, prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer and colorectal cancer. Also, Green Tea’s antioxidants are dilators and improve the flexibility of veins and arteries so they are less vulnerable to clogging. Recent studies have pinpointed the polyphenol activity in green tea as increasing production of the hormone adiponectin, which helps reduce body fat as well as helping to control insulin levels in type 2 diabetics.
Do NOT kid yourself that bunion surgery is not a big deal. Yes, clearly it’s better than years ago, and yes, not everybody’s bunion surgery will be as major as mine (in fact some will be worse than mine), but don’t underestimate how tough the recovery is in terms of running your day to day life. I will NOT do anything to jeopardise the healing of my foot. ANY broken bone needs six weeks to heal properly. I’ve heard horror stories of people putting too much pressure and weight on their feet too early and screwing up the surgery and having to have it redone.
